- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
Directions

1Combine flour, wheat germ, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.

2Cut in shortening with a pasty blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

3Add milk.

4Stir until dry ingredients are moistened.

5Turn dough out onto a well floured surface and knead 5 to 6 times.

6Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness.

7Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.

8Place biscuits onto a lightly greased baking sheet.

9Bake at 450* for 10 to 12 minutes or until biscuits are lightly browned.
