- 2 c. scalded milk
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 scant Tbsp. salt
- 4 1/2 c. graham flour
- 4 to 5 c. white flour
Directions

1Beat well.

2Knead.

3Let rise until double in size.

4Knead again.

5Let rise.

6Place in greased loaf pans.

7Let rise until double (1 1/2 hours).

8Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.

9Cover with foil last 20 minutes, if necessary.

10Makes 2 loaves.
