  • 1 (15.8-ounce) can Great Northern beans, drained
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic or red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

    Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl. Mash until mixture is smooth, using a potato masher; stir in parsley. Transfer to a small serving bowl; cover and chill at least 1 hour. Serve with fat-free pita chips or raw vegetables.
