- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved
Directions

1Dissolve 2 packages yeast in 1 cup warm liquid; stir until well mixed.

2Add 2 tablespoons soft shortening and 7 to 7 1/ 2 cups Gold Medal flour, adding flour in 2 additions, using the amount necessary to make easy to handle.

3Knead dough and let rise until double in bulk.

4Knead and let rise again.

5Work into loaves and let rise again.

6Bake in 425° oven until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
