  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 5 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. sugar

    Measure and sift all dry ingredients; mix alternately with shortening and sugar and the first 3/4
