- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 5 egg whites
- 2 c. cake flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat egg whites until firm.

2Blend sugar and Crisco.

3Add flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla alternately with milk. Fold in beaten egg whites.

4Bake in two 8-inch pans lined with wax paper.

5Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

6Remove from pans; cool.

7Frost with Baker's Icing.
