  • 1/4 lb. white chocolate
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter (equals 2 sticks)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt white chocolate in 1/2 cup boiling water; cool.

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add white chocolate, vanilla, flour and baking powder alternately with milk.

    Stir in coconut and nuts.

    Bake in 2 pans lined with waxed paper and greased at 350°.
