- 1/4 lb. white chocolate
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 10 oz. Angel Flake coconut
Directions

1Melt chocolate over boiling water.

2Cream butter and sugar. Then add egg yolks, slightly beaten.

3Add melted chocolate to butter and eggs.

4Sift flour and baking powder together; add alternately with buttermilk, beating well by hand, then add pecans, coconut and vanilla.

5Beat egg whites until stiff.

6Fold into batter.

7Bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes or longer in long pan or round for layers.
