  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1/2 doz. eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 c.flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (4 oz.) bag chopped walnuts
  • 2 (8 oz.) jars green cherries
  • 2 (8 oz.) jars red cherries

    Put cherries in colander.

    Drain well; set aside.

    Cream butter and sugar very well.

    Add eggs one at a time.

    Beat well after each one.

    Add 2 1/2 cups flour gradually beating with each addition.

    Add vanilla.

    Put cherries and walnuts into 1/2 cup flour.

    Add to mixture.

    Include excess flour.

    Spoon into well-greased and floured Bundt pan.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Lower heat to 275°.
