- 150 g young kamasu/Japanese barracuda (about 7 cm long), or other small white fish
- 1 cup Flour (200 ml)
- 1/2 to 1 cup Water (100 ml to 200 ml)
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Mixed herbs
- 1/2 cup Powdered parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Directions

1Remove innards and head of the fish.

2Clean and wipe with paper towels.

3Mix all ingredients except fish and oil.

4The batter should be a bit thick texture, so adjust the amount of water.

5Deep fry the fish, turn to the other side when one side has cooked.

6Fry until golden brown.

7Serve on a plate.

8Season with salt and lemon juice if desired.
