  • 1 doz. eggs
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 1/4 lb. flour (5 c.)
  • 1 1/2 lb. sugar (2 2/3 c.)
  • 1 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1 lb. candied cherries
  • 1 lb. candied citron
  • 1 lb. pecans
  • 2 lb. white raisins
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

    Cut nuts and fruits in small pieces; roll in flour and then add to other ingredients that have been well mixed.

    This makes a 5 pound cake.

    Bake 4 hours at 375°.

    If two smaller cakes are preferred, bake 2 1/2 pound one for 2 1/2 hours.
