- 1/2 lb. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. mixed fruit peelings or candied fruit
- 1 lb. white raisins
- 1 1/4 c. crushed pineapple
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 lb. walnuts or pecans
Directions

1Cream the shortening and sugar.

2Add 1 egg at a time and beat well.

3Add pineapple, then flour.

4Mix fruit in a little flour so it won't settle to the bottom.

5Put aluminum foil in pan.

6Bake at 275° for 2 1/2 hours.
