  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. cake flour
  • 2 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 lb. cherries
  • 1 lb. pineapple

    Cream the butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, then the other ingredients. Slightly flour nuts and fruits before adding them. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes, then at 250° for 20 minutes.
