- 2 1/4 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions

1Combine sugar, salt, sour cream, milk, butter and corn syrup in a heavy 2 quart pan.

2Stir over moderate heat until sugar dissolves and mixture reaches a boil.

3Boil to soft ball, 238 degrees.

4Allow to stand to 110 degrees about an hour.

5Add vanilla and beat until it begins to lose its gloss (requires little beating).

6Quickly stir in nuts and turn into oiled pan.

7Let stand until firm, cut.
