  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1/3 c. chopped candied cherries

    Combine sugar, sour cream, milk, butter, syrup and salt in saucepan.

    Stir over moderate heat until dissolved.

    Boil until it reaches soft ball stage.

    Remove from heat and allow to stand until lukewarm, about 1 hour.
