White Gouda Lasagna

- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup of Smoked Gouda chopped
- 3 cup milk or low fat milk
- 1/2 tsp white pepper (black if its all you have)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 red onion, finely minced
- 4 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 4 cup (or one bag) fresh rinsed spinach
- 3 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 2 cup part skim ricotta
- 12 whole-wheat lasagna noodles
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
Directions

1Preheat the over to 350F.

2I always prepare the Alfredo and Turkey Spinach layers after turning on the over, otherwise I forget to preheat it.

3Alfredo: Melt butter-butter in saucepan over medium heat.

4Add flour; cook, stirring, 1 minute.

5Whisk in milk, salt, pepper.

6Bring to a boil, whisking; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes add your smoked gouda stir till melted.

7Put aside (or on low covered).

8Turkey Spinach: Melt butter in a skillet.

9Add onions and garlic until tender.
-
10Add turkey, browning.

11Once brown, add seasonings and stir.

12By handful or so, combine spinach with turkey until wilted and covered in moisture and seasonings.

13Put aside (or on low covered).

14Time to layer!

15Grease your deep baking dish and put a layer of noodles on the bottom.

16(1) Cover with a layer of mozzarella cheese than turkeyspinach than Alfredo and end with noodles.

17(2) layer of ricotta cheese and than another layer of noodles.

18Repeat 1 and 2 until you are out of filling.

19You should have a layer of noodles on top, combine remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and cover the top noodle... you can never have too much cheese :)

20Cover and bake for 45 minutes.

21Uncover and cook for 20 more minutes.

22Let rest and cool before serving.
