- 1 dozen apples
- 6 c. white grape or apple juice
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Directions

1Wash and quarter apples removing blossom end, no need to core or pare.

2In a large kettle, cook apples in juice until soft, about 45 minutes.

3Cool and press through a sieve or food mill. There should be 4 to 5 cups apple pulp.

4Add sugar and spices. Cook slowly, stirring often to prevent sticking, for 1 hour or until thick.

5Pack into sterilized jars, adjust lids and process in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
