Directions

1Beat 4 egg whites until stiff in a bowl.

2In a pan, put 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup water; bring to a boil.

3Add 1 tablespoon vinegar.

4Boil until it spins a 3 to 4 inch thread.

5Beat egg whites while pouring hot sugar syrup over them, then beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla.

6Beat until cool.

7Spread over cake.
