- 1 1/2 c. rice
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 c. boiling water
- salt
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
Directions

1In wide frying pan, place rice, oil, garlic and onion.

2Slowly brown rice over low heat, stirring constantly.

3When rice is wheat colored, pour off most of oil.

4Leave about 1 teaspoon and remove garlic.

5Dissolve bouillon cubes in water and pour over rice. Simmer covered until liquid is absorbed (about 20 minutes).

6Add salt and pepper to taste.
