- 1 Tbsp. yeast
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. honey
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 qt. water
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast over warm water.

2Stir in honey, salt and 1 1/4 cups flour.

3Beat until smooth.

4Stir in remaining flour.

5Knead for 10 minutes on floured surface.

6Cover.

7Let raise until double, about 15 minutes.

8Punch down and divide into 8 equal portions.

9Shape each piece into a smooth ball; punch hole into center and pull gently to enlarge hole and make uniform shape. Let raise 20 minutes.
