Whole Wheat Light Rolls

- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 3/4 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 3 to 4 c. whole wheat flour
- 3 c. white flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Combine milk, sugar, salt and shortening.

2Cool to lukewarm, then add eggs.

3Add 1 cup of each of the flours and mix well. Soften yeast in warm water and add to first mixture.

4Stir in remaining flour and put in greased bowl in refrigerator.

5Cover with greased wax paper.

6Two hours before baking remove from refrigerator and knead lightly.

7Shape into rolls and let raise. Bake at 425° about 10 minutes or until brown.
