- 2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 c. wild apples, peeled and grated
- honey
Directions

1Mix together in top of double boiler the cornmeal, sugar, salt, milk and margarine.

2Set over hot water and cook 10 minutes.

3Cool. Add eggs, soda (dissolved in water) and apples.

4Pour into greased baking dish and bake in preheated oven at 400° for 30 minutes. Serve with wild honey.
