  • 1 c. wild rice
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, chopped or 1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar mushrooms
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. cooking wine
  • 3 c. chicken broth

Directions

    Boil water and pour over wild rice.

    Let stand for 1/2 hour. Repeat this 2 or 3 times; let cool.
