Wild Rice Dressing

  • 15 slices rye bread
  • 1 1/2 lb. mild sausage
  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 8 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 large can mushroom pieces

Directions

    Toast and cube bread; it should be slightly moistened.

    Brown sausage and drain and reserve grease.

    Saute onions and celery. Cook wild rice as directed on box.

    (All seeds will completely pop open.)

    Combine all ingredients and bake, covered, 1/2 hour. Remove cover and bake until slightly brown (325°) for 15 to 20 minutes or more.
