  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 4 c. chicken broth
  • 2 c. cooked wild rice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. minced ham
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped slivered almonds
  • 1/2 c. finely grated carrots
  • 1 c. half and half

Directions

    Saute butter and add onion.

    Stir in flour; gradually stir in chicken broth until slightly thick.

    Add cooked rice, salt, ham, carrots and slivered almonds.

    Blend in 1 cup half and half.
