- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 3/4 pounds string beans fresh, young yellow, cleaned
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoning Vegeta natur or similar
- 7/8 cup white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions

1Saute onion and garlic briefly in olive oil.

2Add string beans, sprinkle with seasoning. Stir.

3Add wine and simmer for 30 minutes over low heat, half covered. If necessary, add a little water so the string beans would not burn.

4Before serving, sprinkle with black pepper, serve with toasted brown bread or boiled potatoes or as a side dish to meat.
