Winter Fruit Bowl

  • 4 medium pink grapefruit
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. orange marmalade
  • 2 c. (8 oz.) fresh or frozen whole cranberries
  • 4 bananas

    Pare and section the grapefruit.

    Reserve the juice.

    Set the sections aside.

    To any juice from the grapefruit, add water to make one cup.

    Combine sugar and marmalade.

    Heat to boiling, making certain sugar dissolves.

    Add cranberries, stirring until you hear the skins pop, about 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and cool.

    Add grapefruit sections; cover and chill.

    Just before serving, slice bananas and stir into grapefruit mixture.
