- 6 large apples (preferably Golden Delicious)
- 3 pears (preferably Bosc)
- 1/2 cup halved dried apricot
- 1/2 cup halved prunes or 1/2 cup dates
- 1/2 cup raisins or 1/2 cup currants
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into bits
- TOPPING
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

1Peel, core and slice apples and pears.

2In large bowl, toss together apples, pears, apricots, prunes and raisins.

3Sprinkle with lemon juice, sugar and butter; toss again.

4Transfer to greased 13 x 9- inch baking dish, leveling top.

5TOPPING: In bowl, combine flour, sugar and cinnamon; with pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until crumbly.

6Stir in oats and walnuts; sprinkle over fruit.

7Bake in 375 F.

8oven for 1 hour or until apples are tender.
