- 8 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 (15 oz.) round herbed Brie cheese
- 1/4 c. toasted sliced almonds
- 1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp. water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Thaw pastry 30 minutes.

3Roll sheet out on a lightly floured surface to a 15-inch circle.

4Slice chilled Brie in half (horizontally) and layer with almonds. Reassemble and place in center of pastry.

5Brush pastry edges with egg wash and pull up sides to enclose Brie.

6Place, seam side down, on ungreased baking sheet.

7Decorate with a cross of the leftover dough, braided.

8Brush with egg wash. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

9Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
