Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 4 c. bread flour
- 2 tsp. sugar or 3 Tbsp. honey
- 1/2 c. Crisco or butter
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water.

2Add flour, salt, sugar, 1/4 cup Crisco and remainder of water.

3Add flour, if needed and work dough until it isn't sticky.

4Grease top of dough.

5Cover and let double in size (about 2 1/2 hours).

6Pinch off dough and roll into biscuits (about the size of a small peach).

7Flip biscuits over in a greased baking pan (remaining 1/4 cup Crisco goes in pan for baking).

8Let rise until doubled again.

9Bake at 350° until starts browning, then turn oven to 400° and bake until golden brown.
