- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. tepid water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter (1/2 stick)
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Put yeast, water and sugar in bowl.

2Stir and let stand in warm place; add to scalded milk, salt, sugar and butter.

3Add flour, yeast and milk mixture.

4Let rise 15 minutes, then knead down and let rise 15 minutes.

5Grease 2 loaf pans.

6Bake in 350° oven for 50 minutes.
