- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 7 to 8 c. flour
- 2 c. hot water
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1First 3 ingredients in bowl and set 10 minutes in a warm place, then add to the next mixture.

2Second mixture is hot water in large bowl (cool slightly), shortening, salt and remaining sugar.

3Warm flour over flame of oven top in a dish; move fast until warm.

4Add yeast mixture and knead 500 times (about 7 to 10 minutes), then place in greased pan and let rise.

5Then knead 100 times; rise again and knead down.

6Place in buns and roll about third time.

7Let buns rest in pan and bake until golden.
