- 2 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Combine water, yeast, sugar, shortening and salt.

2Stir until yeast dissolves.

3Add flour and mix well.

4Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.

5Cover with warm, damp cloth and allow to rise until double in bulk.

6Punch down and form into two loaves.
