- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 5 to 7 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. warm water
Directions

1Mix yeast in warm water; add egg.

2Then cut shortening, sugar and salt in.

3Mix well and add enough flour until dough is stiff. Grease a bowl and put dough in, then grease top of dough and place wet towel over dough.

4Let rise until dough doubles in size.

5Then punch down and roll out.

6Let rise again after you have cut out and put in pan.

7Bake at 450° until light brown.
