Ingredients

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 c. warm milk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • melted oleo to dip rolls in

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in the warm milk and water.

    Add sugar, shortening, salt and eggs.

    Add 5 cups flour, mixing thoroughly. Place in warm place to rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

    Punch down dough and place on a floured board.

    Roll out; cut in the size you like. Dip rolls in the melted oleo, fold rolls over and place in bread pan.

    Let rise again for 1 hour.

    Bake at 350° until brown.
