- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. real warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Add sugar, salt and shortening (have shortening melted and warm, not hot).

3Take 1 1/2 cups flour and beat into mixture with spoon.

4Put in rest of flour and work with hands until it is of a smooth texture.

5Sit in warm place and let double in size.

6Work down and cut rolls.

7Let raise again and bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 450°.
