- 1 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. cold water
- 2 beaten eggs
- 6 c. plain flour
Directions

1Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt. Soak yeast in cold water for 5 minutes. Add to shortening-sugar mixture. Add eggs and stir. Gradually stir in flour and stir until smooth and elastic.

2Let rise in a warm place until double in bulk. Refrigerate. Can be used after 4 hours from mixing time.
