- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve sugar and salt in lukewarm water, then add yeast and dissolve.

2Stir in egg; add shortening and mix in flour (the first 5 cups flour can be stirred in; the last portion will have to be kneaded).

3Grease a large bowl and put dough in to rise.

4If put in refrigerator, you should grease top and put foil and a damp cloth on top.

5Allow 2 hours to rise, then make into desired shapes.

6Bake at 450° for 20 minutes.
