Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 cake yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 3 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Put shortening and sugar in hot water; mix well and let cool in large bowl.

    Mix beaten eggs and yeast in cold water in small bowl. Sift flour and salt.

    Combine all ingredients and put in refrigerator for 12 hours.

    Use what you want and roll and cut like biscuits.

    Place in greased pan.

    Let rise until double and bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes or until brown.

    These may be cut and placed on cookie sheet and frozen, then placed in plastic bags. Remove; place in greased pan 3 hours or thawed and doubled in size.
