- 6 egg whites
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Beat egg whites in small mixer bowl until foamy; add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form.

2Beat egg yolks in small bowl of electric mixer until thick and lemon colored.

3Add cold water and continue beating until thick.

4Transfer to large mixer bowl.

5Add sugar, gradually beating until blended.

6Add vanilla, almond and lemon extracts.

7Fold in flour and salt.

8Fold beaten egg whites into egg yolk mixture.

9Bake in ungreased 10-inch tube pan in 325° oven for 1 hour, or until done.

10Invert to cool.

11Frost with Creamy Yellow Frosting.
