- 10 lb. cabbage, chopped fine
- 1 pt. salt
- 3 pt. vinegar
- 3 pt. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 2 Tbsp. celery seed
- 2 Tbsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. turmeric
Directions

1Add the salt to the cabbage and let stand overnight.

2Then drain as dry as you can and cover with cold water for 15 minutes. Drain and press cabbage as dry as possible.

3Make syrup of the next 6 ingredients. Let all this come to a boil and pour over cabbage.

4Mix well and pack in jars; seal.
