Yellow Cake

Directions

   Beat sugar and shortening until fluffy.

   Add eggs 2 at a time, beating well after each addition.

   Add milk and flavoring.

   Sift flour and baking powder together; add to mixture last.

   Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.

   Let cool before icing with caramel or peanut butter icing.
