  • 1 cup pigeon pea
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 medium chopped green chillies
  • 4 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 medium diced tomato
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar

Directions

    Boil pigeon pea in 3cups of water with tomato, turmeric, salt and sugar until it gets fully dissolved in it and comes to a soup like consistency

    For rice- Heat a teaspoon of oil and add cumin seeds to it and then add rice and 2 cups of water and cook the rice
  3. 3
    For tempering of pigeon pea- heat a spoonfull of oil and add cumin seeds and green chillies and add the tempering to the cooked lentil

    Serve pigeon pea and rice in a yin yang shape
