- 1 frying chicken
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Mix 1/3 cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, poultry seasoning and pepper.

2Coat chicken pieces with the mixture.

3Brown all sides in 1/4 cup of butter in a large skillet.

4Arrange the chicken in the baking dish.

5Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

6Remove chicken.

7If desired, make gravy in pan, using drippings. Pour off into a saucepan and keep warm.

8Put chicken back into pan.

9With electric mixer, beat together the remaining flour, salt, baking powder, eggs and milk.

10Add remaining butter, melted.

11Beat until smooth. Pour over chicken.

12Bake at 350° for another 45 minutes.

13Serve with gravy.
