- 2 tablespoons beef drippings
- 6 ounces all-purpose flour
- 6 fluid ounces (whole or semi-skimmed) milk
- 2 free-range eggs
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions

1Preheat the oven 425 degrees F.

2Pour the beef drippings into a muffin pan.

3Place in the oven until the drippings are smoking hot.

4Mix together the flour, milk, 4 fluid ounces water, eggs and some salt and pepper.

5Pour the batter equally into the muffin cups.

6Put back into oven and cook until golden brown and crisp, 25 to 35 minutes, depending on the oven.
