Zippy Beef Casserole

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 4 oz. uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 2/3 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz.)
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. crushed potato chips

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Cook and stir meat until brown.

    Drain fat.

    Cook macaroni as directed on package.

    In an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish, mix all ingredients, except potato chips. Cover and bake for 40 minutes.

    Sprinkle with chips. Bake 5 minutes longer.
