- 2 c. scalded milk
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 2 yeast packets (or 2 Tbsp.)
- 6 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 10 to 15 c. flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Dissolve salt and sugar in scalded milk in very large bowl.

3Add water, then yeast.

4Stir to dissolve yeast.

5Add oil, then 5 cups flour; mix.

6Continue to add flour until dough is firm but not dry.

7You will need to mix it with your hands at the end.

8Turn out on floured board and knead for 5 minutes.

9Put in greased bowl; grease top of dough.

10Put in warm place and let rise about 1 hour until doubled.

11Punch down and repeat.

12Form into French loaves or put in bread pans.

13Bake until golden and sounds hollow when thumped, about 25 to 30 minutes. Brush top with butter.
