- 2 tsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
- 1/2 lb. uncooked spaghetti
- 1 small can tomato paste
- salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Melt shortening in 4-quart saucepan; add onion and ground beef and brown.

2Add green pepper, celery, tomato juice, tomato paste and spices.

3Bring to a boil.

4Add uncooked spaghetti.

5Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.

6Just before serving, stir to blend spaghetti with sauce.
