Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2/3 cups undiluted Carnation evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 cups chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1-2/3 cups sugar
  • 16 medium-sized marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

    Add butter, milk, sugar and salt in saucepan over medium heat.

    Cook 4 or 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Start timing when it begins to bubble.

    Remove from heat, stir in chocolate, marshmallows, vanilla and nuts.

    Stir vigorously for 1 minute. Pour in buttered pan and let cool.

    Then cut in squares.

    Makes 2 pounds.
