  • 4 3/4 to 5 1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 pkg. RapidRise yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 egg

Directions

    In a large bowl, combine 3 cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt.

    Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (125° to 130°).

    Stir into dry ingredients.

    Mix in egg and enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.

    Knead on floured surface until smooth, about 8 minutes.

    Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
